Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
— Psalm 100:3

If you liked "A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23"

In addition to A Shepherd Looks at the 23rd Psalm, Phillip Keller also wrote A Shepherd Looks at the Good Shepherd and A Shepherd Looks at the Lamb of God. These three books are combined into one volume in The Shepherd Trilogy, published by Zondervan in 1996.

I just finished re-reading A Shepherd Looks at the Good Shepherd, and I really liked it. The book focuses on John 10:1-5; 7-18; 25-30. Mr. Keller talks about how Jesus, The Good Shepherd, gives His life for His sheep. All of His thoughts, desires, and actions are spent on what is best for His sheep. The author looks at the relationship between Jesus and Christians: Christ is in us, and we are in Christ.

I have not read A Shepherd Looks at the Lamb of God, but if it is anything like the other two books, it is well worth reading!

Note: I didn’t make a mistake about the title of the book on Psalm 23. Sometimes the book is called A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23 and sometimes A Shepherd Looks at the 23rd Psalm. Also, the author is sometimes listed as “Phillip Keller” and sometimes “W. Phillip Keller.”
