Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Would You Like to Have Victory Over Satan in Your Life?

Then put on the whole armor of God!

The book Dressed to Kill by Rick Renner discusses spiritual warfare and how we can have victory in our lives. The author does a verse-by-verse analysis of Ephesians 6:10-18, explaining the meaning of every keyword or phrase in the Greek.

When the apostle Paul was chained to a Roman guard, he had plenty of time to observe the equipment that the soldier wore and carried. In his letter to the Ephesians, Paul compared this military armor to the spiritual armor that we have in God: the loinbelt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, the sword of the Spirit, and the “lance” of prayer and supplication.

In the first few chapters, the author discusses topics such as the difference between fleshly weapons and spiritual weapons, claiming God’s power in your life, and the schemes and deceptions of Satan.

Rick Renner has studied Greek and has thoroughly researched Roman armor and weaponry. He describes each piece’s use and function and shows how each one (whether offensive or defensive) relates to our spiritual warfare against the devil.

It was interesting reading the descriptions of the different parts of a Roman soldier’s armor and learning what they were made of. The book encouraged me in my spiritual walk, and I know it will encourage you.
